Setting up your existing domain in Storeberry

If you are using an existing domain, you'll need to change its setting to point it to your Storeberry store. Follow the following steps to connect your existing domain to Storeberry.

  1. First, add your existing domain to your Storeberry store

    1. Go to "Settings" and click "Account & Plan"

    2. Under "Domains", click "Connect a domain"

    3. Enter your domain in the text field

    4. Click "Save"

  2. Then you'll need to set up your existing domain to connect to Storeberry

    1. Go to your domain provider and log in your account you have with your domain provider.

    2. Find your DNS setting and edit the following DNS settings:

    3. Your A record should map to Storeberry"s IP address: 52.199.111.193 (*Make sure you've mapped with one IP address only)

    4. Your CNAME record should map to: eshop.mystoreberry.com

  3. Lastly, you'll need to verify your connection in Storeberry

    1. Click "Verify connection" in your Storeberry admin to confirm that your custom domain has been connected to your store.
    2. Note: It might takes up to 48 hours for your existing domain to point to your Storeberry store. Please reach out to your domain provider if you face any problems setting up.

 

Connect a subdomain to Storeberry

  1. Go to your domain provider and log in your account you have with your domain provider.

  2. Find your DNS setting.

  3. Find your CNAME record in your DNS settings.

  4. Change your subdomain CNAME record to map to eshop.mystoreberry.com. For example, if you want your subdomain shop.simple-fashion.com to point to Storeberry store, then change your "shop" CNAME record to map to: eshop.mystoreberry.com

  5. Save the CNAME record.

  6. In Storeberry admin panel,

    1. Go to "Settings" and click "Account & Plan"
    2. Under "Domains", click "Connect existing domain"
    3. Enter your subdomain in the text field (eg. shop.simple-fashion.com)
    4. Click "Next"
    5. Click "Verify connection" to confirm that your customer domain has been connected to your store.

Note on adding your custom domain to Storeberry

After you've added your domain to Storeberry, you need to choose your primary domain -- the domain name that customers will see in the address bar while they browse your online E-shop.
